Do you know what it is? It's where large corporations censor the internet while claiming to stop piracy. It's where sites like YouTube, Etsy, Facebook, Photobucket, Wikipedia and yes, DeviantArt can be shut down. They make it sound like it will protect your intellectual property, like stopping art thieves, but it's methods of doing so are not actually effective against pirates, however it is very useful when it comes to censoring large portions of the internet (if you're familiar with how online pirates work and how the internet in general works versus what these bills propose to do it's VERY obvious). And it currently has strong support from congress. Both bills infringe on not only free speech but privacy (anytime you send links to a friend they have to be checked that they don't include copyrighted material). The effects of these bills are global, not just US citizens.

There are multiple pages on Facebook providing updates and information everyday, I recommend [link] . Even if you are not a US citizen, remember this will affect you and you too can spread the word.
